No One Knows The Identity Of Bitcoin's Creator


Bitcoin is a digital currency that was created in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto. The currency is obtained and held electronically, it's tied to no banks, and, perhaps the most appealing aspect of Bitcoin, no one controls it. But one of the strangest things about the currency is creator, Nakamoto. Despite the code name, his or her identity remains completely unknown.

In 2008, an Australian entrepreneur named Craig Wright claimed that he was the creator of Bitcoin, but that claim was met with much skepticism. Before Wright had the opportunity to provide a solid case placing himself as Nakamoto, it seemed he was bullied out of the conversation by the Bitcoin community.

Wright then claimed he no longer had the courage to prove his identity. But should the creator of Bitcoin come forward at all? Is it important? Some claim the revealing the identity would be counter to what makes
